I have worked in government for 21 years, in the legislative, judicial, and now (quasi) executive branches. (I say “quasi” executive branch as I am a professor in the University of Hawaii system, and its relationship to the executive branch is complicated.) I care about making people understand government, especially at the state level, where so much direct action occurs.
